（第65—66頁；撰文 香港綠色建築議會執行董事 陳永康工程師太平紳士）綠色建築在香港愈見普遍，而專門就香港的氣候和建築環境而設計的綠色建築認證——綠建環評，一直為香港不同類型的綠色建築給予評級，以嘉許建築物在可持續發展方面的卓越表現。

Completed in late 2018, PORT 33 is a 26-storey Grade A office building and mall located in East Kowloon San Po Kong. Green Building elements have been incorporated in its design and operation, and it is certified by The Hong Kong Green Building Council with BEAM Plus New Buildings Version 1.1 Final Gold rating and BEAM Plus Existing Buildings Version 2.0 Selective Scheme Excellent grade on Management Aspect. Apart from the achievement on green building, PORT 33 continues on acquiring more energy saving certifications in order to promote green management for shop and office tenants.

Formerly a director of Buildings Department of Hong Kong government, council member of Hong Kong Construction Industry Council, chairman of Zero Carbon Building, and member of the Town Planning Board, Cheung Hau-wai has a lot of experience under his belt. As one of the founding directors of Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGBC) and now acting as its chairman, he is also a member of the Advisory Committee on Water Supplies and the Private Columbarium Licensing Board. Cheung is looking into extending sustainability assessment work from individual buildings to non-building projects and the entire built environment by advocating Green buildings harmonisation with their surrounding built environment and instilling smart technology in their design.

香港綠色建築議會主席張孝威接受專訪時表示，透過綠建環評（BEAM Plus）這評估工具，有助香港的新建或現有的建築物變得更「綠色」，也有助提升埋建築物的估值及租金水平。

Formerly known as HK-BEAM, BEAM Plus has been Hong Kong’s leading initiative to offer independent assessment of building sustainability performance since 2010. This year marks the 10th Anniversary of BEAM Plus. Up to now, there are more than 1,600 registered BEAM Plus projects, covering a total gross floor area of over 50,000,000 square metres. It is encouraging that many certified projects have significantly exceeded the basic performance criteria, while some of them have even adopted innovative designs to reach higher sustainability performance.

In the past ten years, lots of our friends joined us to push forward the development of BEAM Plus rating tool. We have interviewed four important persons to talk “from green building and beyond”. Not only did they share the memorable moments in the journey, they also look forward to the future development.
