The proposed disciplined services quarters will adopt various forms of energy efficient features and renewable energy technologies, in particular:-

1. The building has been set back and the major façade facing NE to reduce solar and thermal heat gain
2. Cross ventilation is designed for all units
3. Photovoltaic system will be provided for generating renewable energy
4. High efficient air-conditioners, T5 lightings, VVVF for lifts and high efficiency instantaneous gas heaters will be installed
5. Rainwater Harvesting System will be adopted to reuse rainwater
6. Various water saving controllers will be installed for the bathrooms and kitchen to conserve water and reduce effluent discharge
7. Bamboo flooring & skirting will be installed to reduce the use of timber
8. Apart from vast amount of planters and landscape areas, vertical greening is also provided at the west façade to provide visual enjoyment for the pedestrians. Various planters are designed at all sides of the site to soften the site boundary. Green roofs are also provided on 11/F and R/F.
