Lok Man Sun Chuen is one of the public rental estates developed and managed by The Hong Kong Housing Society (HS). It was completed between 1971 and 1974 in phases, consisting of 9 blocks, with a total of 3,674 residential units. In order to improve the quality of living for our residents, advocate environmental protection and achieve sustainable development, Lok Man Sun Chuen has carried out major improvement works during the past 10 years, such as construction of green roofs, the use of environmental friendly and energy saving materials, introduction of environmental and energy management system. We also organize green nursery classes for our residents. Moreover, through our comprehensive and well-planned maintenance, the building facilities are improved and operated efficiently. Recently, Lok Man Sun Chuen has achieved Good rating in both Site Aspect and Management Aspect of BEAM Plus Existing Buildings V2.0 Selective Scheme. All these affirmed the effort and contribution of HS in environmental protection and promotion of green living.
