This Secondary School is located at Site 1A-2 of Kai Tak Development at, adjoining Shing Kai Road to the east and Muk Hung Street to the south.  The School consist of 30 classrooms, 3 small group teaching rooms, 6 types of special rooms, a library-cum-language room, a guidance activity room, 2 interview rooms, a staff room, a staff common room, a conference room, a student activity centre, an assembly hall , a multi-purpose area and other ancillary facilities. The total construction floor area is approximately 13,500 sqm.

Green Features

Site Aspects

  • Approximately 30% of the total site area are greenery
  • Over 50% of the roof area are covered by high SRI finishes and vegetation
  • Environmental management measures to minimize air, noise and water pollution during construction

Materials Aspects

  • Over 30% of the construction wastes have been recycled
  • Over 75% of the construction materials are manufactured locally within 800km
  • 98% of all the timber used products are from sustainable sources

Energy Use

  • 29% of Annual Energy Use Reduction have achieved
  • PV panels at roof have generated 1% of the annual energy consumption
  • Sustainable building design is adopted for enhancing the use of natural ventilation

Water Use

  • Over 55% of annual potable water saving is achieved by using water-efficient basin mixers, sink mixers and shower heads
  • Over 55% of annual effluent discharge has been reduced by using water-efficient water closets and urinals
  • Quality of potable water has been tested and confirmed to meet the referenced drinking water quality standards

Indoor Environmental Quality

  • Indoor and outdoor air quality have been tested and achieved “Good” Class of IAQ certification scheme
  • Landscape deck and Free Wi-Fi have been provided, which are beneficial to building users
  • Access Free facilities, like vertical lifting platform, tactile warning tiles, etc., are provided

Innovations and Additions

  • Twin Tank System is adopted for both flushing and potable water supply system
  • Motion sensor and photo sensor are adopted in lighting system for better energy saving
  • Previously developed land has been selected for redevelopment for reducing ecological damage to environment
