Co-developed by K. Wah International, Sino Land and Nan Fung, Marinella reflects the ultimate in luxury while showcasing innovative environmental-friendly design with expansive greenery. Marinella is the first private residential project that is achieved Final Platinum project. The building sited with long façade facing the south direction which prevents overlooking and privacy of residents and panoramic ocean views.

Green Features

Living in real luxury means not intruding or plundering, but living in harmony with nature. In implementing the ‘green building’ model, Marinella has been conceptualized with environmental sustainability in mind, from the construction process to the building features, incorporating the four green elements of light, oxygen, water and energy, to create a cozy living space for its occupants.

With full devotion to green building, this project has achieved the Platinum Rating of Final Assessment under the BEAM Plus NB V1.1 of the Hong Kong Green Building Council on 24th March 2014, an internationally recognized honor. As the project is situated in an urban setting, great effort has been put in to realize a comfortable and healthy home for the residents. The well-being of the residents and the surrounding neighborhood is improved by consciously reducing the carbon emission of the development.

The implementation of soft landscape was maximized with the provision of green roof and sky garden with over 40% coverage of native species. The green roof, trees and shrubs are planted to reduce building heat gain, carbon emission and air pollution. The sky garden and 5-metre gap between two building blocks further enhanced the microclimate by allowing permeability bringing in natural ventilation.

Sustainability is the concept of managing natural resources in a manner that does not cause harm to the ecosystem while permitting human activity to be productive and long lasting. Marinella is designed to greatly reduce maintenance and utility costs, which releases the burden of the owners. With all the green features implemented, Marinella is truly committed to creating a green future for the next generation.
